29 CFR 1910.147(c)(1): The employer did not establish a program consisting of an energy control procedure, employee training and periodic inspections to ensure that before any employee performed any servicing or maintenance on a machine or equipment where the unexpected energizing, startup or release of stored energy could occur and cause injury, the machine or equipment shall be isolated from the energy source and rendered inoperative: On or about March 14, 2019, at the storage yard of 3898 Selvitz Road, Fort Pierce, Florida 34981, the employer did not establish an energy control program that defines machine specific energy control procedures, training and periodic inspections for employees performing part change out, troubleshooting, maintenance and/or servicing machines, to prevent accidental energizing of the machines. The employer did not have written procedures for de-energizing and isolating energy sources for the Tuckerbilt T-630 Concrete Transport vehicle. NOTE: CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
