Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazards when damaged storage racks had not been removed from service: (a) On or about February 26, 2019 - 50 Homer Drive, Talladega, AL, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards when rack supports had been damaged, and the racks had not been unloaded, repaired, or replaced as follows: 1) Bent brace at first double rack in aisle near fire extinguisher 6; 2) Damaged leg support at second double rack in aisle near fire extinguisher 6; 3) Damaged leg torn from foot next to pile of emptied pallets; 4) Bent braces in Gaylord storage area; and 5) Damaged rack at location 32755TG7C500.
