29 CFR 1910.219(f)(3): All sprocket wheels and chains were not enclosed unless they are more than seven (7) feet above the floor or platform. Where the drive extends over other machine or working areas, protection against falling was not provided. a. CW Egg Products, LLC located in Fort Recovery, OH: On or about February 7, 2019 the employer did not ensure the flat washer chain conveyor was properly guarded. While retrieving the egg flats, an employee's finger was severely injured by an ingoing nip point created between the sprocket gear and the drag chain for the chain conveyor.
