29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: On or about January 18, 2019, guarding on the Monet Desauw was inadequate, exposing employees to inadvertent contact with ingoing nip point(s) and pinch point(s) while hand-feeding products at the point of operation as follows: a.) The upper hold down chains were not guarded, exposing the ingoing nip point. b.) The board alignment kickback bracket was not guarded, exposing a pinch point. Abatement Documentation is required in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d)
