Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that the exit door provide for emergency egress in the Breeding Room: The employer is failing to ensure that employees are not exposed to laceration and amputation hazards. This was most recently documented on January 23, 2019 at 10755 Burt Street, Omaha, Nebraska. The employer failed to ensure that the operator of the chain saw and helper worked at a safe distance from one another. Among other methods, feasible and acceptable methods of abatement: 1. Understand the safety precautions out lined in the Owner's Manual prior to operating the chain saw. 2. Ensure that helpers are a safe distance from the operator of the chain saw.
