29 CFR 1926.202: Barricades for protection of employees shall conform to Part VI of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (1988 Edition, Revision 3 or Millennium Edition), which are incorporated by reference in ��1926.200(g)(2). [67 FR 57736, Sept. 12, 2002] a. On or about April 7, 2018, a groundman/signalman, working out of a vehicle-mounted aerial lift's raised bucket was ejected from the bucket and fell more than 12 feet to the street below when the bucket was struck from below by a passing semi-truck. The employee was not protected by temporary traffic control devices set up to prevent traffic from passing under the raised bucket.
