29 CFR 1926.451(f)(3): Scaffolds and scaffold components were not inspected for visible defects by a competent person before each work shift, and after any occurrence which could affect a scaffold's structural integrity: location: entire site on or about: 12/5/18-12/11/18 a) Employees, engaged in steel erection, were using a JLG scissor lift to access upper work areas. The lift was not inspected for visible defects by a competent person before each work shift. NOTE: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the inspection casefile, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.
