29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)(i): Each employee on a walking/working surface having an unprotected side or edge which was four feet (1.2m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) Tire balancer - On or about November 26, 2018 and at times prior to, employees removing jammed tires were exposed to fall hazards in excess of six feet where the employer failed to ensure employees wore fall protection or were protected by other means while they climbed on the line to kick tires off.
