29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Production Floor, Bottling Area, on or about 11/27/18: Ingoing nip points at the labeling areas on P.E. Labeller gallon line #1, bottle line #3 and #4 and Krones bottle line #1 were not adequately guarded at both the front and back labeling areas on the machines, in that there were openings in and around the existing guards where employees are exposed to the moving paddles that put labels on the bottles.
