Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met: The employer is failing to protect employees from chemical hazards. This was most recently documented at the MBTW facility located at 200 N. Main Street, Ottawa, Kansas. Employees engaged in waste removal work were exposed to skin irritation, carcinogenic hazards and burns while dispensing diesel fuel in that the employer had not developed and implemented a hazard communication program to inform employees of the hazards associated with the diesel fuel that is used daily.
