29 CFR 1910.23(c)(10): The top of a non-self-supporting ladder is placed so that both side rails are supported, unless the ladder is equipped with a single support attachment. a. Located at 173 East Lincoln Street in Columbus, Ohio: On or about September 22, 2018, an employee was exposed to a fall hazard while climbing a fiberglass extension ladder that was erected against a sloping cable strand near a telephone pole. The employer did not ensure that employees had the top of the ladder equally supported on both side rails and/or secured to prevent displacement to the side.
