OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of heat-related illness: a) On or about August 25, 2018, employees performing landscape work at multiple jobsites throughout Venice, Florida, were exposed to excessive heat with a calculated Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) ranging from 83.6 to 89.5°F (28.7°C to 31.9 °C) while working outdoors performing moderate manual labor.
