29 CFR 1910.333(a)(1): "Deenergized parts." Live parts to which an employee may be exposed were not de-energized before the employee works on or near them, unless the employer can demonstrate that deenergizing introduces additional or increased hazards or is infeasible due to equipment design or operational limitations: a. On September 6, 2018, an employee did not turn the power off at the switch or circuit breaker prior to removing a light fixture and working near energized wires, exposing himself to a 277-volt hazard.
