29 CFR 1928.57(a)(10): Guarding by railings. Guardrails or fences were not capable of protecting against employees inadvertently entering the hazardous area: a) Near the basement entrance: On or about September 7, 2018, employees were exposed to a fall hazard while a steel floor plate was removed to facilitate access to the basement to install an electrical motor. b) Near the basement entrance: On or about September 7, 2018, and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to a fall hazard while the basement ladder entrance was not fully protected with a guardrail system.
