29 CFR 1926.701(b): Reinforcing steel. All protruding reinforcing steel, onto and into which employees could fall, was not guarded to eliminate the hazard of impalement: a) Arrow Civil, LLC, 5524 E 60th Ave, Commerce City, CO 80022: On and before July 26, 2018 the employer did not ensure that all protruding reinforcing steel, onto and into which employees could fall, was guarded to eliminate the hazard of impalement. An employee fell from 3' 4'' above a excavated hole onto a piece of rebar which was not capped thus impaling the employee's abdomen. The condition exposed employees to impalement hazards.
