29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment. Date of Violation: On or about 08-02-2018 and times prior thereto, located at U.S. Postal Service at 10509 Patterson Ave. Richmond, VA 22328, Condition: Employees were exposed to falling parcel that was received on improperly stacked or displaced palletized delivery shipments from an Amazon contractor without the use of personal protective measures preventing or protecting employees from the struck-by hazards. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employee(s) and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
