29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems. (a) On or about May 29, 2018, and at times prior, employees were engaged in steel erection activities more that 15 feet above a lower level while not protected from fall hazards. Three employees were installing decking on a roof measuring between 14.5-16.5 feet when an employee encountered an unguarded skylight and fell 15 feet to the concrete below.
