29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE): On or about July 18, 2018, and at times prior thereto, employees replacing the injection molding nozzles were not using a face shield or other face protection. Employees were exposed to burn hazards form high temperature molten plastic.
