29 CFR 1910.36(d)(1): Employee(s) were not able to open an exit route door from the inside at all times without keys, tools, or special knowledge: a) The Mail Processing Area: The emergency exit door leading to the parking lot was not accessible: the door was chained to a railing and locked via a padlock thus exposing employees to fire hazard, on or about 07/05/18. The postal service was previously cited for a REPEATED violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 20 CFR 190.36(d)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1158756 and 121338, citation number 01, item number 01 and citation number 02, item number 01, and was affirmed as a final order on 09/13/16 and 05/17/18 respectively, with respect to workplaces located at 1150 N. McDowell Blvd, Petaluma, CA and 293 Hackensack Street, East Rutherford, NJ.
