29 CFR 1904.39(a)(2): The employer did not report within 24-hours a work-related incident resulting in in-patient hospitalization, amputation or the loss of an eye. Piedmont Healthcare, Inc in Athens GA: On June 15, 2018, an employee fell in a parking lot and broke their hip, resulting in a hospitalization. The hospitalization was not reported until June 21,2018. This is repeat violation because on August 2016 the Piedmont Newton facility had a injury that was not reported within the 24 hour time frame. Piedmont Newton Hospital in Covington, GA was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1904.39(a)(2) which was contained in OSHA inspection 1170113, citation number 1 item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 12/5/2016. Piedmont Newton Hospital and Piedmont Athens Hospital have the same parent company (verified with TIN/EIN code 581503902) Piedmont Healthcare Inc. which is ultimately responsible for tracking recordable incidents and health and safety at each of the 11 primary hospitals.
