OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to electric shock hazards when boom spraying operations were conducted near overhead power lines: On or about June 18, 2018, at the workplace located at 609 County Road 2775 E, Ellery, IL, employees involved with the transfer of liquid pesticide spray from a tank (nurse) truck to a John Deere, R4038 High Clearance Sprayer (sprayer vehicle) were exposed to electrical shock hazards when the sprayer vehicle boom came into contact with a 7,200 volt power line energizing the sprayer vehicle.
