29 CFR 1910.146(c)(5)(ii)(C): Employees entered into permit spaces that met the conditions set forth in 29 CFR 1910.146(c)(5)(i) but before an employee entered the space, the internal atmosphere was not tested with a calibrated direct-reading instrument At Jasper Products facility located at 3877 East 27th Street in Joplin, Missouri: The employer is failing to protect employees from suffocation hazards. This was most recently documented on or about May 29, 2018 when the employer did not enforce the use of a gas meter to test the atmosphere of a permit required confined space. Employees were exposed to an atmosphere with low levels of oxygen.
