29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: The employer is failing to protect employees from in going nip points when performing clean up operations on a conveyor belt. This was most recently documented at 200 S 2nd St, Lincoln, Nebraska on May 5, 2018 when employees were exposed to in going nip points from an unguarded conveyor belt and roller. On May 3, 2018, an employee made contact with an unguarded conveyor belt and roller which resulted in a finger tip amputation.
