29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed. Site: 77 Clackson Avenue Brooklyn, NY On or about 5/2/18 a) Employees used a job made ladder to access foundation of building. The ladder did not extend 3 feet past the intended landing. The employees climbed down from the ground level to the top of the foundation wall then used ladder to reach their work area.
