Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): : The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees may be exposed to a struck-by or crushing hazard when operating forklifts without the employee using the restraint device located on such forklifts: (a) On or about 04/16/2018 - Loading dock, employees were exposed to struck-by and crushed-by hazards via ejection while operating forklifts on ramps and elevated surfaces. Among other methods, one feasible method to correct this hazard would be for the employee to use the seatbelts located on such forklifts as provided.
