OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees exposed to unprotected sides and edges on walking surfaces, resulting in fall hazards ranging from 5.25 feet to 12.5 feet. a. On or about March 6, 2018, the employer did not ensure that employees being elevated by a Commander 15L Container/Pallet Loader were protected from fall hazards ranging from 5.25 feet to 12.5 feet. b. On or about March 8, 2018, the employer did not ensure that employees being elevated by a Commander 15L Container/Pallet Loader were protected from fall hazards ranging from 5.25 feet to 12.5 feet. Among other methods, feasible and acceptable means of abatement include compliance with 29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1) or 1910.28(b)(2) or use of personnel carriers attached to the elevator of the Commander 15L to raise and lower employees to the aircraft cargo deck.
