29 CFR 1926.502(h)(1)(v): The safety monitor had other responsibilities which could take the monitor's attention from the monitoring function: (a) A Wing - Where employees used a safety monitoring system as fall protection, the employee designated as the safety monitor did not comply with the standard in that the safety monitor also performed roofing work which took his attention away from the monitoring function, exposing employees to the hazard of falling 14 feet to the ground below, on or about January 26, 2018. Tecta America was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1926.502(h)(1)(v), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1232485, citation number 1, item number 1b and was affirmed as a final order on November 17, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 5140 North High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43214. No abatement certification or documentation required.
