OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazards: On or about January 19, 2018, employees were exposed to struck by hazards when they stopped behind a truck as it was preparing to load silage. Among other methods, feasible and acceptable means of abatement include: 1. Pulling silage equipment into a parking position such that it can depart without needing to reverse. 2. Installing back-up alarms on silage trailers.
