Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1): If at any time a powered industrial truck is found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe, the truck shall be taken out of service until it has been restored to safe operating condition. On or about January 12, 2018, the employer did not remove Raymond standup forklifts from service in the warehouse located at 923 Valley Rd. Menasha, WI 54952 when they discovered that employees were exposed to potential crushed-by hazards. Employees could back the forklift into pallet racking cross members that would enter the operators compartment without any form of protection.
