29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): All places of employment, passageways, storerooms, and service rooms were not kept clean and orderly and in a sanitary condition. On or about December 18, 2017, at Dollar General Store #3627, in the store aisles and break room areas, employees were exposed to hygiene, trip, slip, and fall hazards when taking breaks and/or handling merchandise without the work area being maintained in an orderly and sanitary condition. Dollar General was previously cited for a repeat-serious violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1077466, citation 3, item number 001, and was affirmed as a final order on 1/22/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 2222 Texoma Parkway, Sherman, Texas 75090. Dollar General was previously cited for a serious violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1092862, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 03/26/2016, with a final abatement date on 03/15/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 203 Wedowee Street, Bowden, GA 30108. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that all places of employment, passageways, storerooms or service rooms are kept clean and orderly or in a sanitary condition.
