29 CFR 1910.213(c)(1): Circular handfed ripsaw(s) were not guarded by an automatically adjusting hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and above the material being cut: (a) Facility, 500 Grant Avenue, East Butler, PA: On or about December 7, 2017 the Better by Design Powermatic table saw, Model No. 74A, Serial Number 9574007 did not have a guard in place when an employee was ripping a piece of red oak. The employee made contact with the rotating blade and sustained an amputation to their left thumb below the nail.
