Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a struck by hazard. a) For employees working in the Maintenance Area; on or about 7 December, 2017, the employer allowed employees to attach and lift metal objects for heavy equipment on the hook on the pendant-control crane (3 ton). The hook did not have a functioning latch to secure the load. b) For employees working in the Maintenance Area, on or about 7 December, 2017, the employer allowed employees to utilize the pendant-control crane (3 ton), that did not have a periodic inspection conducted at a minimum of annually.
