29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Eye and face protective equipment was not used when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury: On or about December 5, 2017, an employee was exposed to eye injuries while operating a pneumatic tab gun installing roofing material and the employer did not ensure safety glasses were worn by the employee. Messing Construction Company, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard or its equivalent standard: 29 CFR 1926.102(A)(1)which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1247786, citation number 1, item number 2, AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON August 28, 2017 with respect to a workplace located at 13105 Edgewater Drive, Chillicothe, Illinois 61523.
