29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a. Employees working at elevations greater than 6 feet from the ground or lower levels while performing commercial framing are not being protected from fall hazards by a fall protection system. The employer fails to assure effective fall protection against falls as required by the standard as most recently demonstrated on: 1. November 11, 2017, on the top plate of the wall, an employee setting and fastening roof trusses was exposed to a 12 feet fall hazard in that he had to detach from and reset his anchor point periodically while trusses slung from the crane were moving about his location. 2. November 16, 2017, in the webbing of the roof trusses, employees installing rat run framing pieces were exposed to a 12 feet fall hazard in that they had to detach from their anchor points to reach some areas in the trusses or to move and relocate anchor points. Florida's Frame Pro, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1143996, Repeat citation number 02, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on June 27, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 542 John Anderson Drive, Ormond Beach, Florida. Florida's Frame Pro, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1112257, Repeat citation number 02, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on January 12, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 601 Division Ave, Ormond Beach, Florida.
