29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures shall be developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees are engaged in the activities covered by this section. WORKSHOP: The energy control procedures did not include all the energy sources and alternative measures in the machine specific for the employees of the hosting and contract employers during cleaning and sanitation services of equipment, such as (but not limited to) a press mixer/augur, unknown identification. On/or about November 09, 2017, an employee of a contract employer sustained a finger amputation/laceration while performing cleaning of the above press mixer/augur whose power source was not shut-off and locked out by utilizing appropriate procedures and devices. Ragozzino Foods Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i), which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 1123440, Citation Number 1, Item Number 1a, issued on 04-29-2016, with a final order date of 05-23-2016 , with respect to a workplace location at10 Ames Avenue, Meriden, CT, 06451.
