29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer shall assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). If such hazards are present, or likely to be present, the employer shall: On or about November 9, 2017, the employer failed to determine if the workplace presented any potential hazards to the employees and develop a plan of action to protect them. Employees are exposed to hazards present while working with chemicals such as epoxies, cements, primers, solvents, and gases such as methane, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen sulfide.
