Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: At the pastry area: The employer did not provide the use of safety devices and or safeguards to eliminate the hazard of entrapment and death from exposition to low temperatures and or burns and smoke related injuries in an event of electrical failure and or fire during the operations of handling and storage of materials inside the Bakery Cooler, model FW-3677-11TWNL, serial 227690-D3, in which the locking handle of the outlet safety emergency system was broken and with cutting ends at the welding point. Among other methods, one feasible and abatement method to correct this hazard is to replace anew the locking handle of the outlet safety emergency system. En el area de reposteria: El patrono no proveyo el uso de aparatos de seguridad y/o salvaguardias necesarias para eliminar el riesgo de entrampamiento y muerte por exposicion a bajas temperaturas y/o quemaduras y lesiones por inhalacion de humo, durante las operaciones de manipulacion y almacenaje de materiales en el interior del Bakery Cooler, modelo FW-3677-11TWNL, serie 227690-D3, en el cual la manija con cerradura del sistema de seguridad de salida de emergencia estaba rota y con extremos cortantes en el punto de soldadura. Entre otros metodos, un metodo accesible y aceptable para corregir este riesgo es reemplazar de nuevo la manija con cerradura del sistema de seguridad de salida de emergencia.
