OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall hazards caused by the operation of a powered mobile scaffold in a manner prohibited by the manufacturer: a) 1441 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102, 8th Floor - The employer did not ensure that the rigging equipment was loaded in excess of its recommended safe working load as prescribed on the ID markings by manufacturer. Abatement note: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable means of abatement would be to retrain all personnel who use the mobile scaffold and their supervisors on the proper operation of the mobile scaffold, including all manufacturer safety precautions. This condition was noted on or about October 3, 2017.
