Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: At the juvenile correctional institution: It were observed two (2) instances in which sections on the ceiling structure were fissured; exposing the employees that provide services and care to young boys to the hazard of slips and falls on rainy days: A. At E1 Unit and; B. At E2 Unit. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to restore the ceiling with a sealing compound to prevent leakages. En la institucion correcccional juvenil: Se observaron dos (2) instancias en las cuales secciones del techo estaban resquebradas; exponiendo a los empleados que proveen servicios y cuidado a ninos jovenes al riesgo de resbalones y caidas en dias lluviosos: A. En la Unidad E1 y; B. En la Unidad E2. Entre otros metodos, un metodo accesible y aceptable para corregirl este riesgo es reparar el techo con un compuesto sellador para prevenir las filtraciones.
