Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: At International LMM Airport in front of GMD, Inc. facilites. Employees authorized to drive forklifts left the keys in the switch of the unatended equipment. Unauthorized and not trained employee then used the forklift. Fork Lift trademark Nissan, Model 15500 VF 05H70V, Serial number 15500 14305 13280, weigth of equipment 21,865, capacity of equipment 15500 pounds. There were other employees working in loading and unloading of airplanes near the area where the forklift was operated by unauthorized employees. A feasible method to correct this hazard is taking off the keys and from unatended equipment. Hazard: Employees being hited or rolled over by forklift. En la Rampa del Aeropuerto Internacional LMM en frente a las facilidades. Empleados autorizados a conducir montacargas dejaban las llaves pegadas en equipo desatendido. Empleado no autorizados ni adiestrado entoces usaba el montacargas. Montacargas marca Nissan, modelo 15500 VF 05H70V, Numero de serie 15500 14305 13280, peso del equipo 21,865, capacidad del equipo 15500 libras. Habian otros empleados que estaban trabajando en el area cargando y descargando los aviones cerca a donde se estaba operando el equipo por empleados no autorizados. Un metodo factible para corregir este riesgo es que los empleados autorizados le quiten las llaves a los equipos desatendidos. Riesgo: Empleados golpeados o arrollados por el montacargas.
