29 CFR 1926.850(a): An engineering survey was not performed by a competent person to determine the conditions of the framing floors and walls and the possibility of unplanned collapse of any portion of the structure prior to permitting employees to start demolition operations: a) Two-Story Single Family Home: Employees were engaged in the demolition of a two-story frame family home. The employer did not ensure that an engineering survey was conducted by a competent person prior to allowing employees to perform demolition work, thus exposing employees to a struck by hazard, on or about 9/30/17 and 10/2/17.
