Section (5)(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health ACT of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck by hazards when they worked around moving vehicles while assisting each other with the operation of coupling and/or hooking up double trailers. a) Truck yard, loading docks- On or about September 27, 2017, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to a struck-by hazard, in that; multiple employees were coupling double trailers at the loading dock in the truck yard.
