29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1)(i)(A): The depth of the working space in the direction of access to live parts may not be less than indicated in Table S-1. Distances shall be measured from the live parts if they are exposed or from the enclosure front or opening if they are enclosed; On September 21, 2017, in the 2nd Floor Scheduling Office of the Waller Building #1735, a maintenance tech employee was exposed to an electric shock hazard from the depth of the working space to live electrical parts on the Trane HVAC 460 Volt AC of 1" when he opened the metal panel cover to check the diagnostic trouble codes.
