Title 40.1-51.1.(a), Code of Virginia: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: (a) At this site (Burger King, 1200 block of South Boston Hwy, Danville, VA), Quality Construction failed to ensure that approximately 33 drive pins, ranging in height from approximately 20 to 29 inches, were guarded to the hazard of impalement. Approximately 3 workers were exposed to the hazard. "One feasible and acceptable abatement method, among others, to correct this hazard is cap the drive pins."
