29 CFR 1910.219(f)(3): Sprocket wheels and chains which were seven -7 feet or less above floors or platforms were not enclosed: (a) Packaging area - The Little David Case Sealing machine was missing the guard over the chain and sprocket drive. On or about September 16, 2017, an employee reached under the machine to determine if the chain had fallen off the conveyor belt drive sprockets. While reaching under the machine the employee's hand was pulled into the operating, unguarded drive sprocket. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
