29 CFR 1910.23(c)(11): (11) Portable ladders used to gain access to an upper landing surface did not have side rails that extend at least 3 feet (36 inches) above the upper landing surface: a) Worksite (260 Adams Blvd. Farmingdale, NY): An employee used a portable extension ladder to gain access to a storage mezzanine approximately 9 ft. 2 in. high. The ladder extended approximately 10 in. above the upper landing surface; on or about 9/6/17. Note: The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.
