Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by/crushing injuries from being caught between two Mack roll-off body trucks while towing as the truck towing unexpectedly rolled down an incline while removing a tow strap. (a) Unity Southern Environmental located at 7170 Delta Circle, Austell, GA, Rear side of steel building: On or about 08/10/2017, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to struck-by hazard, in that the employer failed to ensure safe work practices were followed to prevent employees from being struck-by the roll-off truck or caught between two vehicles.
