North Carolina General Statue 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees condition of employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a)Migrant farm workers exposed to live electrical parts as light fixtures are improperly installed, in hall area as electrical outlet has exposed live wiring, and as refrigerator has no proper path to ground. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method of abatement to correct these hazards is to provide correctly installed light fixtures and outlet plate. Additionally the refrigerator cord should be replaced with a proper three prong grounding type plug. Weekly inspection should take place by employer to ensure proper electrical maintenance and use of electrical appliances and facilities.
