29 CFR 1928.57(a)(1): The employer did not provide the protection of employees from the hazards associated with moving machinery parts of farm field equipment, farmstead equipment, and cotton gins used in any agricultural operation: A) Wiers Farm, Inc., located at 4465 State Route 103 South, Willard, OH 44890: On or about July 27, 2017, the employer did not provide protection to employees from the hazards associated with moving machinery parts of the farm field equipment such as, but not limited to, the radish topper used in agricultural operation. Employees did not isolate hazardous energy sources of the radish topper prior to conducting activities such as, but not limited to, cleaning debris from the topper. Employees were exposed to hazards associated with nip points between rotating belts and pulleys of the radish topper.
