29 CFR 1904.39(a)(2): The employer did not report the in-patient hospitalization of one or more employees to OSHA within twenty-four (24) hours. On or about June 20, 2017, an employee, working in extreme heat conditions, experienced symptoms of heat related illness resulting in an in-patient hospitalization and the United States Postal Service did not notify Federal OSHA. The U.S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.39(a)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1027982, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on March 12, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 6330 Fountain Square Dr. Citrus Heights, CA 95621.
